Sometimes as a teacher (ok, all the time) it is easy to come to a snap judgement about a student (or colleague, resource, whatever). It is important to try to remain impartial. Yes, it might be very, VERY hard to do, but we are sometimes the only ones that get to be around these kiddos enough, and care about them enough, to know who they truly are. Never forget that. We are important in their lives.
